Basics
What is a virtual router?
A virtual router is a software router deployed on a VPS. Unlike a regular proxy client, it works as a full-fledged network node between your devices and the internet.
When you connect to a proxy directly from your computer, websites see telltale signs: timezone mismatch, system language, WebRTC leaks, specific DNS responses. All of this reveals the use of IP spoofing tools.
A virtual router solves this problem: your device "thinks" it's on a regular network, while all masking happens at the router level. Network fingerprints become indistinguishable from a real user in the target location.
Approach comparison
✗ Regular Proxy Client
• Proxy adapter visible in system
• WebRTC can leak real IP
• DNS requests can bypass proxy
• Timezone/language don't match IP
✓ Virtual Router
• Device sees regular network
• WebRTC shows router IP
• All DNS goes through router
• Natural network fingerprints
Features
Why AntiDetect Router?
Everything you need for network-level anonymity in one solution

FAQ
Is it really free?
Yes, AntiDetect Router is completely free and open-source under MIT license. You can use, modify and distribute the code without restrictions.
What VPS do I need?
Any VPS with OpenWrt 24.10.x (x86_64). We recommend at least 1GB RAM. DigitalOcean, Vultr, Hetzner and other providers supporting custom images will work.
Why is this better than a regular proxy?
A virtual router creates natural network fingerprints. Your device doesn't know about the proxy — it's just connected to a "regular" network. This eliminates WebRTC leaks, timezone mismatches and other markers.
Can I use my own proxy provider?
Yes. The router supports any proxies via Passwall, as well as Xray, sing-box and other protocols. Configure the outbound connection in LuCI.
What if something breaks?
Use the /usr/sbin/rw-fix command — it's a "panic button" that restores routing and DNS. You can also ask questions in the Telegram community.
Where can I get help?
In the Telegram community @antidetect or Discord. Note: this is a free open-source project, support is community-based.
